Richmond High School will be extending our distance learning period to protect the health of our students and staff per our Return to Learn Plan published in August 2020. Distance learning begins Tuesday, October 13. Google Classroom will be the virtual learning platform. Students will have the opportunity for live instruction and tutoring everyday with their teachers from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. and again from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. Click on the link for more details.

All students who go to Lex La Ray and Excelsior Springs Career Centers will continue to attend classes as normal at those locations. Students will continue to meet the bus at the high school each day.
Richmond High School will not have school on Monday, October 12. Beginning Tuesday, October 13, Richmond High School will be moving to distance learning. Click on the link for more information.

On Friday, October 9, 2020, Richmond R-XVI School District was notified that an individual at Richmond High School has tested positive for COVID-19. With guidance from Ray County Health Department, Richmond R-XVI has notified those who were indicated as having been in close contact with the COVID-19 positive individual. Students who are indicated to be close contacts will transition to virtual learning immediately and continue to quarantine. Unless you were called by a school district official, your child has not been identified as a close contact.
Ray County Health Department has been contact tracing and continues to do so.
Initial quarantine end dates will vary based on exposure and onset of symptoms. Specific quarantine end dates will be provided by the Ray County Health Department.
During the time of quarantine, students will participate in virtual learning. Students who are quarantined will not be able to attend or participate in school extracurricular activities for the health and safety of all participants.
