The Richmond R-XVI Board of Education is pleased to announce the hiring of the new Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Bryan Copple.
Dr. Copple is a native of Brookfield, MO but has spent the last seven years as the Gallatin R-V superintendent. His previous leadership experience has been in Newtown-Harris, Chillicothe, and Savannah schools. He started his career as a social studies teacher and coach in the Trenton and Brookfield school districts.
Dr. Copple earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a Master of Science in Educational Administration from William Woods University, and a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from Saint Louis University.
During his educational journey, Dr. Copple has been recognized as the MARE-Administrator of the Year and the MASA Northeast District New Superintendent of the Year. At his time in Gallatin, he oversaw the completion of a new middle school and implementation of Bright Futures, updated safety measures and transportation fleets, and increased standardized test scores.
Dr. Copple along with his wife, Ronda, have two children, Elle (16) and Tripp (13). “We are very excited to be part of the Spartan family.”
