The Richmond R-XVI School District is excited to announce the hiring of Mr. Tim Quinn as the next Richmond High School Assistant Principal. Tim grew up in Iowa and graduated from Garner-Hayfield High School. He earned an Associates of Arts Degree from North Iowa Area Community College in 1986. He then earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education in 1992, a Master’s Degree in Sports Administration in 1998 and his Specialist Degree in Secondary Administration in 2003, all from Central Missouri State University, now known as the University of Central Missouri.
Mr. Quinn currently serves as the assistant principal at Richmond Middle School. He began his teaching career in 1993 at LaMonte High School. He then taught social studies classes in Concordia, Mo from 1994-1998. From 1998-2000, Mr. Quinn was the athletic director/A+ Coordinator in Concordia. In 2000, Mr. Quinn taught social studies classes in Harrisonville, Mo for two years. From 2002-2006, Mr. Quinn was the assistant principal at Harrisonville High School. He served as principal of Harrisonville High School from 2006-2009. From 2009-2017, Mr. Quinn worked in the private sector at a Clinical Research Organization. In 2017, Mr. Quinn came to Richmond to teach history classes at Richmond High School. For the past three years, he has been the assistant principal at RMS. Mr. Quinn, throughout his educational career, has been a head baseball coach, head golf coach, assistant girls varsity basketball coach and a middle school basketball and football coach.
Mr. Quinn and his wife Dr. Cindy Quinn, reside in Lee’s Summit and have six children and 11 grandchildren. Dr. Quinn is the Special Education Director for Lee’s Summit North High School.
